Areum’s primary research interests include judgment and decision making, information processing, and sustainability. In particular, she is interested in exploring consumers unconscious behaviour and their psychological mechanism in choice dilemmas, examining information factors that influence consumers decision-making, and investigating interventions that support societal well-being. Her research aims to assist people in making decisions with confidence and support them in changing their behavior to achieve their better selves and create a better society.
Areum holds a Masters degree in International Business from Korea University and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and International Trade & Law (double degree) from Sookmyung Women’s University, both in South Korea. During her academic years, she received various scholarships, including those for academic excellence and research support.
