Tomislav is an Assistant Professor within the Faculty Research Group for Information Systems and Innovation (Department of Management) and a Data Science Institute Affiliate.

For his PhD research conducted at the KIN Center for Digital Innovation (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), he used ethnographic methods to study development and use of artificial intelligence in biotechnology and agriculture. He holds a master’s degree in Logic from the Institute for Logic, Language, and Computation (University of Amsterdam), and bachelor’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Philosophy (University of Zagreb).
