Dr Jonathan E. Booth is an Associate Professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science, Department of Management, and teaches courses in HRM, OB, and negotiations, primarily to MSc and PhD students and executive education participants. His course, The Dark Side of the Organisation, is a popular elective for the MSc/PhD students.
Jonathan researches workplace stigma and mistreatment; employee prosocial behavior (e.g., corporate volunteering; giving; forgiving) and employee perceptions and interactions with emerging technology. Recently, he has written about challenges and opportunities for LGBTQI+ inclusion at work.
Jonathan has published in academic outlets, such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, ILR Review, Human Resource Management, British Journal of Industrial Relations, and other journals, book chapters, blogs and reports. In 2020, he received the Labor and Employment Relations Association's John T. Dunlop Outstanding Scholar Award for his contributions to research that address industrial relations/employment problems of international significance. Currently, Jonathan serves as an Associate Editor for the British Journal of Industrial Relations.
Prior to academe, he was a consultant in information technology, change management, and training development for banking, energy, hospitality, and technology firms.
