Senior Marketing Lecturer Guido van Garderen teaches the popular elective Brand Strategy at the LSE, which in recent years got nominated twice for an LSE-SU Inspirational teaching award. Subsequently, the Brand Strategy course is now also available as a Summer program (in August) and executive education program (in November). He is a visiting Professor at EAFIT University in Medellin, Imperial College Business School in London and Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) in Cambridge. He has published in Journals, such as the Harvard Kennedy School Review and the Harvard Africa Policy Journal.
Next to teaching, he works as a Strategy Director directly with organizations or via renowned agencies, such as Interbrand, Resonance, and DDB. This allows him to draw from many real brand strategy cases while putting the latest academic insights to the test. Former clients include Philips, Mondelez, FBN Quest, Visit Brussels, EXPO 2023 Doha Qatar, Aliko Dangote Foundation, African Development Bank (AfDB), Pwani Oil, Saudi Tourism, Interswitch, Henley Business School, The Emirates, Biron Groupe Santé, and Airbus.
