We are delighted to share that Jackie Coyle-Shapiro, Professor of Organisational Behaviour at LSE’s Department of Management, has been elected into the Academy of Management Fellows Group.

The Academy of Management is a global professional association for management and organisation scholars and is comprised of nearly 20,000 members representing over 120 countries. Membership is made up of professors and PhD students in business schools and universities, academics in related social science and other fields, and practitioners.

The Fellows Group recognises and honours members of the Academy who have made significant contributions to the science and practice of management.

“It is an unexpected honour to be inducted as Fellow of the Academy of Management and to be recognised in this way is truly memorable,” said Professor Coyle-Shapiro.

Professor Coyle-Shapiro is also the 75th President of the Academy. She is the first UK-based academic to be elected to the role in the Academy’s history.

This year's new Fellows were introduced to the community during the Academy’s 80th Annual Meeting, which took place online for the first time, with a formal induction planned for next year. More information about this year’s virtual Annual Meeting can be found in our recent Management with Impact blog by LSE Fellow Karin King.

Professor Coyle-Shapiro began her five-year term in 2016 as Vice President-Elect and Program Chair-Elect, becoming the Academy’s 75th President at the 2019 Annual Meeting in Boston. She is currently serving her final year as Past President.
