The CEMS Organising Committee has been awarded the ‘Special Recognition Award’ at the annual LSE Values in Practice Awards, commonly known as the VIP Awards.
The Organising Committee was made up of Professional Services Staff from teams across the Department of Management, and several key Faculty stakeholders, who worked tirelessly to deliver the hugely successful CEMS Annual Events and MIM Graduation Ceremony 2023.
Department Manager, David Meech Mazumdar, said: “I was absolutely delighted that we received a ‘Special Recognition Award' for the CEMS team. This award was one of the two President’s Awards and was specially created to honour our achievements.”
The ‘Special Recognition Award’ was presented by incoming President and Vice-Chancellor Larry Kramer.
“I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who was involved and congratulations,” David continued. “It was a real team effort, and the results were tremendous. I am incredibly proud, and this is a very well-deserved accolade.”
Professor Sarah Ashwin, Head of Department for the Department of Management, said: “Hosting CEMS was a complex and demanding operation requiring dedicated and creative teamwork. The CEMS team delivered a spectacular event, so I was delighted to see their work rewarded with a richly deserved VIP Special Recognition Award. Congratulations to the fabulous team!”
The VIP awards were held on Wednesday 21 February 2024, and provide an opportunity to celebrate Professional Service Staff who have shown outstanding contribution or commitment to the School.
