Catherine Thomas, Associate Professor of Managerial Economics and Strategy, was interviewed on BBC News about the impact on global trade and production following the blockage of the Suez Canal by the Ever Given container ship.
Dr Thomas is also the Director of the Centre for Economic Performance International Trade Programme and a research fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research.
Speaking to BBC News at Six and BBC News at Ten, Dr Thomas informed the public that it will take at least several weeks for shipping to return to normal, even though the ship has now been freed.
