Professor Chrisanthi Avgerou has been awarded the AIS (Association of Information Systems) prestigious LEO (Lyons Electronic Office) Award.
The LEO Award recognises truly outstanding individuals in the field of information systems. All recipients of the LEO Award are outstanding scholars who have made a global impact on the field of information systems.
Including Chrisanthi, five people who have studied or worked at LSE have now received the LEO Award.
Established in 1999 by the AIS Council and the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) Executive Committee, the LEO Award is a singular honour to recognise seminal work by the award recipient.
According to the AIS, LEO Award recipients are: "Truly outstanding scholars who have made exceptional global contributions in the field of information systems. In addition, they will be regarded as a preeminent representative of their national or regional information systems community.”
The award ceremony took place on Monday 11 December 2023, at the Association of Information Systems ICIS 2023 conference in Hyderabad, India.
