The 8th annual LSE China Conference was held in Beijing on the evening of 14 August 2018. Over 350 LSE alumni and friends attended the event.
This year's conference discussed big data and artificial intelligence, the buzzwords of change, the assumption being change for the better. The event brought together some of the biggest named academics working on Big Data in China, with their counterparts from LSE, together with industry leaders, from China. The official conference for 2018.

伦敦政治经济学院中国夏季会议将于2018年8月14日在北京举行。
大数据及人工智能是当前很热门的话题，看起来是美好的转变。然而，实际情况要复杂得多。
大数据提供了一系列的机会，与此同时也带来了挑战。其实与所有其他信息一样，大数据的效用取决于数据是如何被分析以及其应用目标。今年LSE中国会议汇集了中国以及LSE在相关领域最知名的学者。我们也请来了来自中国的相关行业领袖，讨论大数据及其在商业领域的应用。发言人及代表们被邀请分享他们关于如何利用大数据改善全球经济和社会的力量的思考。
整个会议都会安排中英及英中的同声传译。
