About me

Dr. Sujin Kim is a Research Fellow at the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs (KIHASA), specializing in health economics, policy analysis, and healthcare systems, including health insurance. She earned her Ph.D. in Health Policy and Management from Seoul National University and has contributed extensively to policy development and research on healthcare equity and social protection. Dr. Kim has extensive experience advising the Republic of Korea’s government on health policy and actively participating in key WHO governance meetings, including negotiations on the Pandemic Treaty and revisions to the International Health Regulations (IHR). Her research focuses on the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of public health and social protection policies, with a particular emphasis on equity, sustainability, and their global implications. Dr. Kim has published widely in academic journals and is dedicated to fostering evidence-based policymaking to address critical global and domestic health challenges.
