Govin Permanand is Senior Advisor to the Director of Country Health Policies and Systems at the WHO Regional Office for Europe.

His interests lie in health systems research, implementation science and knowledge transfer, and access to medicines. He established the Evidence and Information for Policy programme at WHO/Europe and previously led the Health Evidence Network.

He is a member of several international advisory groups and has held a number of editorial positions with academic and policy journals. Govin has worked with the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies and completed a PhD on the politics of pharmaceuticals at the LSE.
