Competition description
The work of Exit Photography Group documented the growing inner-city crisis in London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Glasgow and Belfast in the form of interviews and photographs. Documentary photography can be a powerful tool for social change because it can convey visual information and tell a story.
We asked the public to submit images to this competition that communicate a narrative, evoke emotion, inspire activism, or generate sympathy for a cause. We received over 100 submissions that resonated with the mission and ethos of the Exit Photography Group, to document the human condition.
Here are the winners chosen by judges Paul Trevor, Cadence Kinsey, Dave Than, and Ellen Stone.
