Your degree programme comprises a number of courses (modules), which are usually worth a half (0.5) or a full (1.0) unit. The overwhelming majority of Law courses (i.e., courses prefixing LL4) represent 0.5 unit. The LLM programme is made up of 2.0 full units (usually taken via 8 0.5 unit courses, with the LL4F9 Legal Research and Writing Skills (Dissertation) course being compulsory. More information about course choices will be discussed at the programme welcome meeting in September.
When does the options choice system open and on which system?
- Postgraduate course selection will open for browsing (to practice using the system) at 10am on Monday 23 September 2024. Course selection will open fully at 10am on Thursday 26 September 2024.
- You’ll need to have completed all of your admissions paperwork and set up your LSE IT account before you can begin selecting courses.
Note: You will be directed to activate your student IT account and setup your LSE email account at the end of the online registration process. Once you have completed online registration and setup your accounts, you will have full access to all online teaching and learning resources.
- You should finalise your course selection by 5pm on Friday 11 October 2024. In exceptional circumstances, academic departments can approve changes after this date. The late course change period runs from 5pm on Friday 11 October until 5pm on Friday 18 October 2024.
- You will be able to make minor changes to Winter Term half units in January.
Note: It is not possible to change full unit courses or half-unit courses that were taught in Autumn Term during this period.
