LSE Law School Questionnaire
1. Library Strategy
1.a) Who, in your view are the stakeholders of the LSE Library law holding?
1.b) The LSE Library supports both teaching and research. Which should be given priority in the allocation of limited resources?
1.c) Should the LSE Library stand as a complete stand-alone law library? (i.e. all teaching and research resources (including further resources and sources ‘of record’ for different types of legal authorities) should be available in the library) or can the library have resource ‘gaps’ that are met by the holdings of other local libraries such as the IALS Library?
2. A 21st Century Library
2.a) Do you prefer to use physical or digital resources (a) in teaching and (b) in your research?
2.b) Should the library be investing more heavily in digital or physical resources (a) for teaching and (b) for research purposes?
2.c) If a resource is available as a digital resource should the library also retain physical copies (Would your answer be different for (i) journals or monographs, and (ii) primary sources e.g. Public General Acts are available in Lexis and on Westlaw as well as in printed form)?
3. Library Holdings
3.a) Are there any materials currently not held (physically or electronically) that you would like the library to purchase or subscribe to? Please answer for (a) teaching materials and (b) research resources.
