Jonathan Fisher KC publishes his preliminary findings on criminal disclosure

Jonathan Fisher KC has published preliminary findings from his independent review of disclosure in the criminal justice system in England and Wales, a report commissioned by the Home Secretary in October 2023. The review considers, amongst other issues, the challenges involved in investigating large volumes of digital material and notes how non-disclosure played a key part in recent miscarriages of justice, including the imprisonment of Andrew Malkinson, cleared of rape after 17 years in custody, and the Post Office scandal.
