Lord (Tony) Grabiner QC graduated from the LLB Programme with 1st class honours in 1966, and obtained LLM with distinction the following year. After a short time teaching law, he practiced full-time at the bar, becoming a QC in 1981 and later head of a leading set of barristers’ chambers. In 1999 he was appointed to the House of Lords. He was chair of governors at LSE from 1998 to 2007, and vice chair 1993-1998. In 2014 he became Master of Clare College, Cambridge.
