Alice Chilcott is an MRes/PhD student at the Department of International Development. Her research will examine the ways in which grassroots women- and youth-led organisations in Kenya support adolescent girls to navigate contraceptive choice and access. Before studying at LSE, Alice worked for an international development funder, managing a portfolio of investments in young feminist movements and gender equality advocacy, and advancing organisational best practice on Meaningful Adolescent & Youth Engagement. She has also worked for the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual and Reproductive Health in the UK, where she led the production of a report examining access to contraception during the Covid-19 pandemic. Alice holds degrees in English and Multidisciplinary Gender Studies from the University of Cambridge.
