Moritz Schmoll is an LSE Fellow at the Department of International Development. He obtained his PhD in Political Science at the Department of Government, LSE, and further received an MSc in Comparative Politics (Middle East) from Sciences Po Paris. His doctoral dissertation focused on the everyday enforcement of tax laws in Egypt. His research interests include the politics of everyday governance, public administrations in developing countries, and the political economy of development, with a particular regional focus on the Middle East and North Africa.
