Wanying is a PhD candidate in the Department of Health Policy and a recipient of the NIHR School for Social Care Research Studentship at Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC) at LSE. She is currently working on topics of informal caregiving and ageing using quantitative methods.
Wanying holds an MSc in International Health Policy (Health Economics) from the LSE and a BSc in Economics from Xiamen University. She was the winner of the Brian Abel-Smith Prize for Best Dissertation in MSc IHPHE 2021-22. She has previously worked as a research assistant at CPEC and as a field researcher for the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study.
