Sarthak is a PhD candidate in Health Economics and Health Policy at the London School of Economics (LSE). Their research focuses on understanding coordination between healthcare providers and social care authorities in the context of integration of health and social care in the UK. Using administrative data, Sarthak investigates social networks involved in planning discharge for older patients and explores their impact on health outcomes.
Sarthak also works as a research assistant at the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC), where they have contributed to a range of projects, including analyzing the social care market in London, assessing lifetime spending by social care users, and examining the commissioning of social care services. Sarthak holds an MSc in Applied Social Data Science from the LSE Department of Methodology and a BSc in Mathematics from St. Stephen’s College, India. Their MSc dissertation analyzed movement framing and network dynamics of the Farmer’s Protest using data collected from Twitter.
