Lucrezia Perrig is PhD candidate under the supervision of Marta Roca i Escoda at the Centre for Gender Studies at the University of Lausanne. Her research focuses on queer marriages in Switzerland, emphasizing the intersections of sexuality, gender, and nationality. She is particularly interested in how these marriages transform naturalized conceptions of the family and how individuals navigate and negotiate legal norms through marriage. Her study is based on a combination of feminist and queer theories, sociology of law, and sociology of the family, involving both qualitative interviews and visual methods.
Prior to joining the PhD program, Lucrezia obtained her Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Saint-Louis University and her Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Lausanne. She also worked at the feminist festival Les Créatives in Geneva, where she led the Guerrilla Girls and Where Are the Women projects, and co-authored a guide for gender equality in culture, "Le Carnet Rose." Her research interests lie at the intersection of gender, sexuality, and family dynamics, with a focus on queer and feminist perspectives.
