The Departments of Gender Studies/International Development invite applications for workshop organiser position. A policy-focused workshop, titled ‘Women’s access to paid work in South Asia and MENA: barriers, opportunities and policy challenges’, is being organized under the lead of Professor Naila Kabeer, as a collaboration between the Department for International Development and the Middle East Centre at LSE, the Centre for Development Economics at the University of Delhi and the Economic Research Forum, Egypt. The aim of this workshop is to bring together around 30 to 35 scholars from Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. The location of the workshop is LSE and the dates are confirmed as Thursday, 13th and Friday, 14th June 2019.
The roles of responsibilities of this post includes:- arrangement of air tickets and accommodations, including visas, with Diversity travel,- if necessary, providing guidance to speakers regarding their journey from airport to hotel and from hotel to LSE,- taking notes during the two days long workshop,- preparing workshop material, and- organising catering services (for 2 days), lunch (for 2 days), and dinner (for 1 night) in coordination with Gender Studies, Departmental Manager, Hazel Johnstone.
