Women's Budget Group Autumn Budget Watch-Along

Hosted by Department of Gender Studies and Department of Economics

LSE Lecture Theatre, Centre Building (CBG.G.01), London School of Economics and Political Science, Houghton Street, WC2A 2AE

Join us for the chance to witness the behind-the-scenes WBG discussion on the Autumn Budget and engage with the concepts and practice of feminist economics!

Come along to the Women's Budget Group Autumn Budget watch-along! The UK Women’s Budget Group (WBG) is a feminist think tank that provides evidence and capacity building on women’s economic position and proposes policy alternatives for a gender-equal economy. Twice a year, the members of the WBG and our expert Policy Advisers get together to watch the Autumn Statement or Spring Budget and work collectively to develop our live reaction to the measures and policies announced. Over the course of the afternoon, members debate the Chancellor's decisions and assess the potential impacts they will have for gender equality, crafting a response that is then shared with the media and wider stakeholders that same day.
