Please find below the reading material for the pre-sessional course covering introductory accounting.
The first chapter of "Financial Accounting: An Introduction to Concepts, Methods, and Uses" 14th Edition, by Weil, Schipper, and Francis, will be very useful for anyone who has not studied any accounting before or may be looking for a refresher. We will expect everyone to feel familiar with this chapter to keep up to speed with the first few hours of pre-sessional accounting teaching.
- This is good reading for anybody, but it is highly recommended for those who have had no prior exposure to accounting.
- The material that you’ll be taught in the pre-sessional 6-hour accounting course is self-contained, so you do not need to buy this textbook for pre-sessional course or the programme.
