We are pleased to announce that Ulf Axelson has been awarded with an LSE Teaching Promotion to Professor Award, in recognition of his development of the MSc Finance and Private Equity programme, and in particular for spearheading a theoretically informed but applied approach to teaching Finance. This includes the integration of a case based approach with guest speakers, who share their experience of real-world learning with students. James Clark, Alex Clymo, Alexander Koriath, Paula Lopes and Luana Zaccaria have each been recognised for their special contribution to class teaching in the Department of Finance.
The winners of the 2015 awards were announced at this year’s LSE Teaching Symposium, which was capped off with a fabulous LSE Teaching Awards Reception in The Venue, on 5 May. These annual awards are open to outstanding graduate teaching assistants, teaching fellows, guest teachers and faculty, who have made a significant contribution to teaching at the School, and go beyond the requirements of their job to deliver an exceptionally high standard of education to their students. We are particularly proud to have had such a significant presence at this year’s awards, as our winner’s work is integral to the learning environment in the Department.
