About me

Dr Vera Spyrakou is a Visiting Fellow at the LSE European Institute. She is Adjunct Lecturer at Panteion University of Social & Political Sciences and an International and European law & politics expert. She received her Ph.D. (summa cum laude) in European, International & Area Studies from Panteion University of Social & Political Sciences, specialised in EU policy & European identity. She obtained her M.A. in European Citizenship & Euro-Mediterranean Integration from the Faculty of Political Science of Roma Tre University. She is a post-doctoral researcher at the Dept. of Political Science & Public Administration of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. She investigates the typology of patriotism and the demands of a new EU architecture and currently, she is interested in the EU-UK post-Brexit relations.
