Tahir is Guest Teacher in Culture and Conflict at the European Institute, London School of Economics and Political Science. His research looks at the changing interpretation and understanding of the concept of evil within European intellectual space that is increasing identifying itself as secular and post-Christian. The so-called loss of religion and Christianity raises fundamental intellectual and practical questions for European self-understanding.
Tahir completed his MA in Religion and Global Politics and a MA in Islamic Studies from the Universities of London and Birmingham respectively. He is therefore also interested in opening a conversation on the interplay between European intellectual history with classical and modern trends in the Islamic thought.
