Carina is a PhD candidate at the European Institute, LSE.
She is interested in the financing of the green transition in the European Union. Specifically, her research focuses on the strategies of the EU to incentivise green investments, such as public financing initiatives or regulation. Her broader interests include the Economic and Monetary Union, sustainable finance regulation and EU climate policies. Carina holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in European Social and Political Studies with First Class Honours from Sciences Po Paris and University College London and a dual Master’s degree in European Affairs from Sciences Po and LSE.
She also holds a Master’s degree with Distinction in European Economic Studies from the College of Europe. Before joining the European Institute, Carina was a Blue Book trainee at DG ECFIN in the European Commission and worked in the French Treasury as Deputy Head of the European Strategy and Coordination unit for 2,5 years. Her supervisor is Benjamin Braun.
