Sean Deel is a PhD candidate at the LSE’s European Institute. His research deals with the political sociology of free movement of EU citizens. In particular, the research looks at the way in which the political and economic crises in Europe since 2008 have reshaped European citizenship for those who make use of their free movement rights. Sean holds an MSc in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Past research projects include contributions to an Open Society Foundations-funded project on European social movements in 2011-12.
