Meng is a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics. Her research work forcuses on three main areas: the economics of education (return to education, vocational training, and intergenerational mobility); taxation (differential impacts of the sin tax across income groups and social classes) and the gender wage gap (especially the cild penalty).
Meng has an MSc in Economics from LSE and a BSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Hong Kong.
