João is an MRes Economics student on the MRes/PhD Economics programme in the Department of Economics. His primary field of interest is labour economics.

João holds BSc and MSc degrees in Economics from Nova SBE. Before joining the programme, he was employed as a research assistant at the Nova SBE Economics of Education Knowledge Center, working on projects in education and labour economics. He also worked as a Teaching Assistant on microeconomics and industrial organization courses.
