Callum is a PhD candidate in Economics, with a research focus on empirical industrial organisation and political economy. His research is primarily on online advertising and media markets. Callum combines text analysis techniques with IO structural modelling techniques to analyse the way in which demand and supply interact in the market for online content to produce the outcomes we observe in modern media consumption, many of which, such as politically slanted and sentimentally skewed news, are of key interest to policymakers.
