Alex is a PhD Economics candidate in the Department of Economics at LSE. His primary research interests are macroeconomics and labour economics. In particular, he is interested in studying the foundations of inequality and social mobility, including the role of gender, wage dynamics, and human capital.

Alex studied Theoretical Physics at Utrecht University. Before joining the Department, he worked at the Center for the Economics of Human Development at the University of Chicago.
