The LSE Choice Group is a group of philosophers, political scientists and economists based mainly at the LSE and with a shared interest in the theory of rational judgement and decision making in individuals and groups and its application to economic, political and social questions. We hold regular seminars as well as occasional workshops. These seminars have become a natural venue for the presentation of both philosophical work that is informed by mathematical and empirical methods and results as well as scientific work that engages with philosophy. We host presentations of work not just in decision making and judgement but also on a wide variety of other topics of philosophical interest, including more traditional ones in epistemology, ethics and public policy.
The Choice Group seminars are held on Wednesday afternoons during term time from 16:30 to 18:00 in LAK 2.06 (Second floor, Lakatos Building, Portugal Street). If you would like be on our mailing list and receive announcements about our seminars and events, please use our signup form.
