After leaving Cambridge, Michael Redhead became a Centennial Professor at the LSE in 1999 and acted as Deputy Director of the CPNSS for nearly twenty years before his death in 2020. He was one of the UK’s most influential post-war philosophers of physics, supervising a generation of philosophers and helping to create the modern field of philosophy of quantum field theory.
