Research culture is a crucial component of all research done at The Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Science. We recognise the Royal Society’s definition for what research culture means at the Centre:
“Research culture encompasses the behaviours, norms, and beliefs of the research community. It influences researchers’ career paths and determines the way that research is conducted and communicated.”
Upholding the principle of People, Culture and Environment (PCE) from the Research Excellence Framework 2028, the Centre has identified the following as the defining values of its research culture:
