MENTALKIT is an App developed by researchers from the London School of Economics and Political Science, in the United Kingdom, and the Federal University of Alagoas, State University of Mato Grosso do Sul and University of the Far West of Santa Catarina.
In addition to the research team, a group of stakeholders comprising policymakers, practitioners and people with lived experience representing different sectors and all five geographic regions in Brazil contributed to the development of MENTALKIT. A report illustrating consultant participation and contributions can be found here (PDF).
MENTALKIT offers access to scientific evidence on interventions that have been proven effective in Brazil or in countries with similar characteristics, to care for the mental health of children and adolescents. In addition to presenting basic information about these interventions, MENTALKIT offers a module that allows you to estimate potential costs and investment returns resulting from implementing the interventions.
MENTALKIT was developed with funding from the Medical Research Council, in the United Kingdom, and, in Brazil, from the Alagoas State Research Support Foundation and the Mato Grosso do Sul State Foundation for the Development of Teaching, Science and Technology. We are grateful for this public funding.
MENTALKIT is available free of charge to everyone including professionals, practitioners, individuals and families with lived experience and policymakers and administrators working in the Brazilian public service.
