Jo Ward is a Research Coordinator and Involvement Officer within the Centre. She works primarily on the SOCRATES project and ASCRU2, as well as working to support Public Involvement and Engagement across the Centre more generally.
Jo’s previous roles include supporting research related to student mental health and wellbeing, working coproductively with students, staff, and other stakeholder groups. Prior to this, she worked in university widening participation, managing projects tackling inequality and educational disadvantage experienced by young people.
She previously completed an undergraduate degree in English at the University of Nottingham and a postgraduate diploma in Education and Social Justice with the IOE at KCL. She has undertaken a wide range of voluntary positions including as a Listening Volunteer for the Samaritans and Nightline, and as an Impact Researcher and member of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion board for the Nightline Association.
