Valentin Ribet (LLM 2014) was an excellent student. He contributed very frequently to our arbitration discussions and always offered thoughtful opinions about the topics studied in class. For that reason he became a respected colleague among his peers. As teacher, I could feel he had built strong friendship relationships with many other students in the group. He enjoyed being part of the multinational and diverse community of the LSE and he told me in one of his visits to my office hours that the multicultural element was one of the most attractive features of our institution. I deeply regret that those who took his life nearly a month ago did not share his view of the world.
