LSE Alumnae Tara Chandra and Susan Allen are co-founders of Here we Flo. Here We Flo makes shamelessly natural care for life’s messiest moments: plant-based personal care products for periods (Flo), sensitive bladder (glo) and sexual wellness (XO!). 

Disappointed in the lack of organic and sustainable personal care products in the market, LSE course friends Chandra and Allen decided to change this and create their own, inspired by a discussion in the toilets whilst studying at LSE. 

 Here We Flo products are designed to make people feel confident that when they use a Here We Flo product, their choice is better for their bodies and for the environment. Made from sustainable materials such as plant-based wrappers and applicators, and certified organic cotton and bamboo, Here We Flo provides sustainable swaps that make it easy to have a significant impact. For instance, their eco-friendly pads have saved the equivalent of 61 million plastic bags from landfill. 

Here We Flo pledge 5 per cent of all profits to charities that support people and the planet in addition to monthly donations of period products to menstrual charities. In 2021 Here We Flo were the grand prix winners of £1 million in ad spend from the Sky Zero Footprint fund – a £2 million advertising initiative fund which supports and inspires others to join the journey to Net Zero Carbon.
