Sofija Spasenoska is the Communications and Events Officer at the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa. 

Prior to this, she worked as a Research Assistant focusing on economic development as well as Social Media Manager. Her experiences allowed her to work with and appeal to an audience that shares her passion for female empowerment and gender equality. 

At the LSE Sofija worked as an Event Manager at the Media and Communications department on a media literacy project and Conference Coordinator for the 20th anniversary of the department. 

Sofija holds MSc in Emerging Economies and International Development from King's College London and a BA (Hons) in Business Studies (Finance and Accounting) from The University of Sheffield.
