Dr Xi Li, Associate Professor of Accounting, has been appointed a European Corporate Governance Institute Research Member. New research members are drawn from academia in Europe, the United Kingdom, North America, the Middle East, and Asia and are admitted on the quality of their academic work in the field of corporate governance. Members will be eligible to publish their academic work on corporate governance and stewardship in the ECGI Working Paper Series (Law and Finance) – a series is known for its content, global outlook, and interdisciplinary nature. It is used by scholars, practitioners, and policymakers alike to help shape informed views and debates on a wide range of global topics.
Dr Li’s current research focuses on financial reporting and disclosure, corporate social responsibility (CSR), shareholder engagements in ESG, and debt contracting with a focus on international capital markets. Before joining the LSE in 2016, she worked at Fox School of Business, Temple University and the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. More recently Dr Li is a judge for the ESG Investing Awards, with the winners being announced in February 2023.
