The Role of Overseas Investors in the London New-Build Residential Market
A report for Homes for London assembled as a joint venture with LSE London and the Department of Economics. LSE London has just completed a study of the role of overseas investors in the London residential market for the GLA.
They looked at the proportion of new homes sold to buyers who live abroad and at the proportion of those homes left empty; they also examined the contribution of overseas sales and finance to new development. Read the full report.
Why Else is Density Important? (London Plan Density Research Project 5)
A report for the Mayor of London and a joint venture with the Department of Economics and the Department of Geography. The current London Plan’s objective of optimising densities is directed essentially at securing a number of additional dwellings within London that is closer to the housing supply target, while sustaining appropriate residential quality and accessibility in the neighbourhoods where development would occur.
