The weekend itinerary

Friday

The coach will arrive at Cumberland Lodge at 6pm. A much-needed home cooked dinner will be served shortly after you arrive. This will be followed by our various ice-breaker sessions. Past events have included the popular Marshmallow and Spaghetti Tower Challenge!

After this, take the opportunity to visit the bar area, which is a great place for socialising on your first evening at Cumberland Lodge.

Saturday

On Saturday, wake up to a delicious English breakfast to prepare you for the day ahead. Throughout the day, you will have the chance to take part in an engaging group-work activity. This can offer the perfect addition to your CV!

The afternoon will include a seminar on a topical issue, usually from a member of our academic staff. This will provide a wonderful insight into the research of our academic staff. You will also have the opportunity to discuss this research in further detail at the end of the seminar.

And that’s not all, on Saturday evening, get ready to test your knowledge! We will be holding a “University Challenge” quiz for all to enjoy, covering a range of general topics. Who will the winning team be?

Sunday

On Sunday, you will have the opportunity to visit the historic town of Windsor. The market town of Windsor has many picturesque features that our students love to visit, including Tudor houses and boutique shops. One of the most popular attractions is the spectacular Windsor Castle, which also houses St George’s Chapel and beautiful surrounding grounds.

Alternatively, you are welcome to explore the spectacular grounds of Cumberland Lodge. The grounds are beautiful throughout the year, perfect for long walks and impressive photographs! And if you are lucky, you may see the deer and horses which graze in Windsor Great Park!

Following this, the coach will leave at around 2pm to travel back to London.
