LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman appointed Visiting Senior Fellow at LSE

Co-founder of LinkedIn and Manas AI Reid Hoffman has been appointed as a Visiting Senior Fellow at LSE’s Data Science Institute (DSI).

The unpaid role, which will run from February 2025 to February 2028, will see Mr Hoffman interact with LSE students and faculty and participate in events including discussions and workshops during his visits to London. In the role, he will draw on his vast experience in technological entrepreneurship and the impacts of new technologies on society.

Mr Hoffman gave a popular public lecture at LSE in December 2024 where he examined the profound societal implications of artificial intelligence (AI) for the world order.

Commenting on his appointment, Reid Hoffman said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as a Visiting Senior Fellow at LSE’s Data Science Institute. As a leading university, LSE is widely respected for its top-class academics, breadth of research and its contribution to public debate and tackling some of the most significant issues facing the world today. I hope to bring my experience to those debates and am looking forward to working with the university’s dedicated community of staff, students and alumni.”

Reid Hoffman is the Co-Founder of LinkedIn, Inflection AI and Manas AI. An accomplished entrepreneur, executive, and investor at Greylock, he has played an integral role in building many of today’s leading consumer technology businesses.
