LSE has again been recognised as one of the best universities in the world, according to the most recent Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
Now in their 18th year, the THE World University Rankings compared data from over 1,600 institutions to place LSE 27th globally and 5th in the UK.
Commenting on the news, LSE Director Minouche Shafik said, “These impressive results speak to the continuing hard work of members of the LSE community, who are committed to providing high quality research and a world class education for our students.”
The results add to a series of positive rankings for LSE, which earlier in 2021 was ranked top in Europe and second in the world in social science and management subjects for the ninth consecutive year in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021.
Minouche Shafik added, “The coronavirus pandemic has highlighted the critical importance of social science research and the School remains dedicated to producing work that helps transform our world for the better.”
