Martina is a Research Officer at the International Inequalities Institute, focusing on regional inequalities, technological change, firm dynamics, and institutions within the research theme Cohesive Capitalism. She is also interested in regional development, climate change, globalisation and local labour markets.
Before joining the III, Martina worked as an Early Stage Researcher on the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network on Policies for Smart Specialisation. She also served as a teaching and research associate at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where she conducted research on regional inequality, migration, and environmental hazards. Beyond academia, she has experience as a consultant in sustainable development at the Asian Development Bank and completed a research project on gender inequality for the United Nations Development Programme.
