Amaia Palencia-Esteban is a Research Officer at the International Inequalities Institute. Her research is focused on labour market inequalities, especially those related to gender and immigration. She is also interested in analyzing the impact of climate change on income inequality. 

She holds a PhD in Economics from University of Vigo, a MRs from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and a BSc from University of the Basque Country. Prior to joining the III, she worked as a scientific officer for the European Commission at the Joint Research Centre.
