I am from Santiago, Chile, where I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in history, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Universidad de Santiago de Chile, respectively.
During this period, I developed an academic interest in Global History and Latin American History and the various manifestations of colonialism and imperialism, as well as the resistance to these structures of power. During my exchange programme at Science Po (Paris) in 2017, I also developed an interest in African History.
These experiences eventually led me to my current PhD research project, focusing on the relations between Chile and Zambia between 1964 and 1975, exploring topics related to anti-imperialism, Third Worldism, South-South solidarity and resource nationalism.
