Annita is currently a part-time Research Assistant at the LSE Hellenic Observatory. Her work currently focuses on examining the portrayal of femicides in Greek Media examining legal, cultural and socio-political dimensions. Annita holds an MSc in Politics and Communication from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2024), where her thesis analysed the media framing of the Russo-Ukrainian war through identity and ideological lenses. She additionally holds a BSc in Politics and International Relations from University College London (2023), where her dissertation examined the impact of identity in protracted conflicts, with a focus on the Greek-Cypriot population in the Cyprus conflict. Annita has previously interned at the Cyprus Ombudsman, where she conducted research on the human rights of pregnant women with Covid-19 in Cyprus . She was additionally invited to participate in the European Science Media Hub’s conference ‘Storytelling in Science’ at the European Parliament, alongside other young journalists from different parts of Europe. Annita is also the founder of the UCL Women and Politics Society and served as the society’s first president in 2022/23. As a young journalist, she has written articles on a variety of different topics including the imprisonment of pregnant women and the rise of AI in Academia and has covered events at University College London.
